Before this industry, we were both working hard but trapped in models that limited our time, income, and scalability. I was a preschool teacher earning a predictable paycheck that didn’t match my potential, and my husband was running a traditional
franchise while also owning a commercial maintenance company serving grocery stores. We were constantly juggling overhead, travel, and long hours and despite our work ethic, we were capped.

Before this industry, I was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years, and Darin and I owned two traditional businesses — a book fair company and a dental practice we were partners in.
